FAQ

Henna has been used to adorn bodies as part of various traditional and holiday celebrations for many generations. In many cultures, it is regarded as a blessing, and it is applied for luck as well as joy and beauty.

Henna is a completely painless and a relaxing process and it is a temporary work of art (compared to a tattoo, which is permanent).

I always suggest to do a manicure or/and a pedicure before henna application for best results.

The henna paste I use is completely organic, with natural ingredients, suitable for all skin types. Your stain will appear in a matter of 24-48 hours, in shades of reddish-brown, which can vary from a dark red to a dark brown. The color of your henna stain depends on a couple factors: the quality of your henna, your body chemistry with henna, and aftercare.

Henna stains usually go away in about one to three weeks depending on the henna and your skin. For longevity of henna color, I suggest less washing where the henna is applied. We suggest less washing of the body part where henna is applied and less use of soaps and exfoliants.

It depends on how intricate or how large the design of the henna is. A standard, simple design can take me about 5-10 minutes. Full bridal henna can take me anywhere from 3-6 hours, but I try to do it as quickly as I can with good quality.

Black henna is a paste made by mixing some henna, and a majority of materials that are really bad for your skin, including charcoal, kerosene, and other chemicals. Chemicals like these can cause scarring, and sores. I never encourage to use black henna.

Bharati is wonderful mehndi artist, she was on time and professional. She did my design by looking at the image I had picked out but instead of copying , she incorporated her own skills. I would highly recommend her to anyone whose getting married or just want mehndi done.
